ReligiousTolerance.org Sucks.
Look, assholes, people's lives are ruined by this organization. You do not have the neutral point of view on religions (and cults) that you claim to have. You're promoting an organization that enslaves it followers, bankrupts them, and uses scare tactics combined with a powerful legal team to silence anyone who might speak out against them. Maybe they got to you, too.
I'm not an idiot, and I'm not going to name the organization outright in order to save my ass against litigation, harassment, or worse. All I can say to my readers is this: follow the cookie crumbs.
Lisa McPherson had her life ruined. She spent around $100,000 to "improve" her mental well-being but was driven down a path to insanity. In 1995 she was in a minor car accident that caused her to strip naked and walk in the middle of the street murmuring nonsense, and was quickly taken to the hospital to see a psychiatrist. The group she was a member of has a strict devotional hatred of psychiatry, and removed her from the hospital and away from proper treatment due to their "religious beliefs." She was taken to Fort Harrison Hotel where she was put in solitary confinement and starved for 17 days. When they finally took her to a hospital, 45 minutes away, passing 3 other hospitals, where she could be seen by a member of their organization, she was pronounced dead upon arrival. Lisa had bruises all over her body, she was emaciated, and according to the coroner's report, she had bug bites from cockroaches. Her life was literally destroyed by this "religion."
No other "religion" is criticized as harshly as this one. Yet on religioustolerance.org you'll find nothing but feel-good happy bullshit. You will not find a neutral, facts-only perspective. I am sickened that they would cover-up such obvious misdeeds committed by this organization. Even the worst is sugar-coated and watered-down to a level that makes me want to vomit.
A lot of the reason I'm ranting is because I feel a little betrayed by religioustolerance.org. I used to go to the site frequently for what I felt was unbiased information. I would link to the site and promote it just as frequently, as well. I have no specific feelings of ill toward religions such as Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and many others that you can find "useful" information about on the site. However, now the information no longer seems credible to me. Because they got the information on this one organization so wrong, so erroneous, how can I trust anything on the site at all? At least, as far as the particular "religion" I'm ranting on goes, I know I can trust Operation Clambake.
On religioustolerance.org you won't find anything about the deaths of Josephus A. Havenith, who was found at the Fort Harrison Hotel in the tub with nearly all of his skin boiled off; Margarit Winkelmann, who walked fully clothed into Clearwater Bay and drowned herself; Peter E. Frei, who was found floating in a waterway in June 1988; Heribert Pfaff, who died of an apparent seizure in the Fort Harrison Hotel in August 1988; or Roger Nind, a former member of the organization who was trying to get a $70,000 refund, arrived in Clearwater from Australia in October 1992 and was killed in an accident the next day.
And you certainly won't read about Jeremy Perkins, born into the "religion," who showed signs of mental illness from a young age, developed clear symptoms of schizophrenia, complaining of hearing voices in his head; who was prevented from getting proper psychiatric help due to "religious beliefs;" and who, on March 13 2003, his schizophrenia got the better of him and he came out of the shower, got a knife from a drawer in the kitchen, and stabbed his mother 77 times, killing her. He was found "not responsible by reason of mental disease or defect" by the court.
The organization has been famously "battling the Internet" as Netizens refuse to be silenced, despite threats of litigation, as faced by Anthony Walter for posting an article, YTMND for a webpage, and even Google itself, for its most famous Google bomb.This "religion" has employed any and all methods to silence critics, including "cancelbunnies" and other blatant attempts at censorship (such as abuse of copyright laws).
Perhaps they got to religioustolerance.org. Maybe my rant is off-placed. The fact of the matter is, their articles on this religion are not from an unbiased, neutral point of view. They hide the truth and make this "religion" out to be a lot prettier than it really is. Even national governments have banned either the religion or exiled prominent members. Several governments refuse to recognize it as a legitimate religion, and see it as a (twisted) commercial enterprise.

I'm not sure why but this weblog is loading extremely slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I'll check back later on
